Has anyone used the holiday schedule? I have a customer that is using the Holiday schedule and for some reason it keeps loosing the dates that were set. I personally have set dates while the customer is watching and after some time they go away. For instance I installed the unit in September of last year and we went ahead and setup the holiday schedule for Thanksgiving and the Christmas and New Years dates. The Day before Thanksgiving the office called me to say the unit did not show anything for the next day which was Thanksgiving. All of the preset dates were gone. Any help would be appreciated. This is a CP100 Rel2 system on a CICS.

sounds like you may have a customer who did a oops and doesnt want to fess up.. try a test holiday toprove it works...then change password and forget to tell customer

I also have a client that this has happened to. The client doesn't know the password so they couldn't have done it. Is there a bug in the current software version?

how do you know they dont have the password???? Is that what they said....

as far as i know it works ...only thing to note is it is one year calender only

I know they don't have the password because I set the system up, changed the passwords, and never gave it to them per their request. So unless they can read minds or hack the system (I doubt that since it is a church) it is safe to say they do not know what the password is.

dont even bring it up !!!

+ this forum besides tons of others have postings on how to reset vm passwords to default

I can guarantee they do not have the passwords! This isn't the reason for the holiday settings, whether you believe it or not!

I do have a customer that is reporting the exact problem. I did the test myself and confirm that this happen for no reason. After testing I did look in the error log of the callpilot. Nothing in there that look like an error related to the holiday...

I know that I have the latest version of the Call Pilot 100 already installed. I am certified on Norstar and the Call Pilot and I know that I am doing everything correctly. As per calling a Vendor I am the Vendor and my supplier of Nortel equipment tells my I have the latest release. I find that Nortel is very slow to change software in the Norstar. I am a certified Vodavi tech and their software is much more flexible and they are ready to work with the field personnel to try and work the bugs out or their releases.

what does nortel say ...and if you are a vendor then change your type from technical user to vendor

I only had one customer wanting to use the holiday greeting. But I was off on Christmas as a good Christian, & did not check to verify. They didn't have any complaints.

PS It was not a church.

well on a slightly different note ...is it possible to add/chg/del holidays in Feature 983 ...?

thanks in advance

one of the places without a network connection !! if not i guess there is always a laptop/crossover

luv2ski, I don't remember how I signed up as a technical user but I can't seem to find where to change it to a vendor. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Senk1S....I am not aware of any way to change Holiday Greeting schedule using F983. I usually use a laptop if cusomer has no network. Another option if they have a computer that can be set up with a fixed IP address they could do programming with that.

Check that you have software release 2.10.06.If not, you have to upgrade the software by downloading it from the Nortel Site.

Getting back to the original problem....is the call pilot really losing the information for holiday greetings or does the computer screen just indicate that? I have recently had an issue with cp connected to a network using Netscape, and all drop down menus in holiday greetings disappeared from screen......when changing over to Explorer everything was fine.....??? Of course if the holiday greeting actually didn't work in your case , then this is not an issue.
