Hi All,

can we have IP address to call pilot?
How can we access call Pilot remotely?
Pls provide me some notes on call pilot.

Regards
Shailendra06.

Well yes, what release is the Callpilot. 2.0 and above use a web browser interface. The Callpilot has two NIC cards. One will be for the ELAN to communicate to the PBX, the other CLAN for administration and desktop messaging, stuff like that. Download the info from the Nortel web page.

The fact that you ask if you can have an IP address to Callpilot makes me think you should not have access to it. Sorry, I am one of the people that have to fix things after they are messed up. I would recommend some type of training for administration first. This forum is great to give you ideas but is not a replacement for technical know how.

TheWorkingman, give the person a break, you could have offered you advice in a more constructed way, we are all here to learn. Remember the old lesson, if you don't have anything nice to say then ?????? you know the rest.

I wouldn't say that TheWorkingMan was at all out of line. I have seen this same poster ask similarly dangerous questions about other aspects of Nortel equipment that reveal a dangerous will to take on some dangerous tasks in spite of a severe shortage of basic knowledge. I would have taken his post a step further and suggested that this poster should get an experienced professional to handle these tasks. I sincerely believe that this is the best and most constructive advice that shailendra06 could get, all things considered.

Hi,

I hope that in this forum the questions asked are not at all silly ,they could be simple but they are logical and i sincerely feel that all logical questions should be answered logically.
As per as reading the PDF is concerned i feel that the Nortel Docs are very lengthy and difficult to read and understand and by joining such forums we can have answer
to our problems which someone might have faced earlier.
So we get solutions which are already applied.

I didn't ask for suggeston but i asked for solution.

Thanks & Regards
Shailendra06.

There are no silly questions to ask; And this forum is all about learning.

That being said, users need to realize that if you don't understand your entire system and how the applications integrate with one another, we can give a simple answer here which may cause 14 other things to break on your system.

That's when we get the call saying "this stopped working". It most likely didn't just "stop" working, most likely the end user modified something else and didn't realize that by making one change, it effected other things. There is no way on this forum that we would understand the entire architecture of your system and all the intentions of the original designer.
