I have a business where I will be installing a call pilot 150 and a MICS 6.0 s/w. I need it to answer during the day with a CCR/auto attendant only if no one answers the phone after 5 rings. At night I need it to answer the same lines right away (Using a different CCR). It seems to me that the only way I can make this work is if they manually go into the vm unit and change the number of rings under lines. Can I setup a ringing service with the vm station in the ring group? Would this then get answered by the auto attendant when services are activated? Or would the caller just get the general delivery mailbox if I did it this way?

Help!!

Installation is tomorrow.....

ksutec,

Here is my suggestion, I have not worked on the 6.0 software yet but this should still work. You'll first need to setup a "Ring Group" in the Norstar with the appropriate lines assigned to it and the CP150 ext and the Reception ext, with the Reception set as the "Control Set". This will allow for your "Night Service". Program your F871 key on your Receptionist set. Now for the CP150, you'll have to record your day CCR Tree path 0 menu in let's say greeting 1 (not the normal place, I know). Record your night CCR Tree Path 0 in say greeting 2, the Norstar Voicemails will not allow you to assign lines to more 1 CCR Tree that is why we will be using greetings instead of Path 0. When doing this, you'll have to use paths 1-4 for day and 5-8 for night, keeping in mind that all paths will be available at all times, but if the caller doesn't hear all the choices they will not press the paths not recorded. You may need to record a couple seconds of silence in path 0 of your CCR Tree, but this setup should work for you. I didn't go in to much detail of how to do this, I'm assuming you already know how to program Norstars and Voicemails if you need more help just let me know. I just wanted to put the idea of how to make it work here for you . Good Luck

The Call Pilots will now allow you to have your choice of CCR 4 times during the day...morning, afternoon, evening and non-business. To do this got to Table #1 and then where you would normaly enable Tree #1... enable Tree #2 instead for the time of day you want.

Wow, that's pretty cool, thanks for the info Curly! I didn't know that.

Thanks for all the helpful advice....It's much appreciated. I am using call pilot's feature where you can use several different ccr's, and I think it will do a fine job. My real question/concern is this:(example)Line 1 is to be answered immediatly at night, 0 rings. I have a ccr/auto attendant/table all set for that. During the day, however, I need the voice mail system to wait 5 times before it answers the lines (which I also have a seperate ccr tree 2 set up for the rare instance they would miss a call during the day and need to rely on the voice mail to answer). Is there really any simple way to make this happen??

Set F983 - AA - Lines - table 1 - Rings 5. Don't forget to set DRT to Prime to NO and your transfer call back timer to the max of 12.

Then go under services and create ringing group 001. Remove 221 from it (it's there by default) and add the first port of the voicemail and only the first port of the voicemail.

Then go to Sched: Night and set it to manual. then header out and go to Common settings - Control sets - For lines - Show line:___ - Enter you lines and make the control set for your lines be one of the phones in the original incoming hunt group.

That will be the person who at night will press Feature 871 (you can put it on a single button) and turn the service on at night. Then the voicemail will answer the incoming calls immediately.

mroberts-This is exactly what I did and it worked perfectly. Thanks to everyone for all the helpful advice!!!

this is unrelated to this issue, but can you use two cp100 w/ one mics 6.0? set one up for vm, and one for call center? anyone have any ideas? done this before?

I believe that you can. I myself haven't done it yet but I would imagine that it works similar to having a Flash Voicemail and Flash ACD. Same chassis, different application.
