call pilot destop messaging

KE
when trying to send a fax using desktop messaging i get an error that no smtp server found where do i change or get the smtp server
 
i get this when i do a cp trace.

Lets start with the easy thought first.

Since it can not login at SMTP, is port 25 open on your computer/network?

Have you tried to test it with a telnet to make sure it is open?
 
You will need to talk to your network team and ask them to open the port and tell them it is required for Faxing from the desktop.

It is most likely one of two things stopping it from working. The firewall or the anti-virus software.
 
the port is open still im not able to login to the smtp when sending fax
