I am trying to access a Call Pilot 2.02 with App Builder 4.0 file from my PC. I dial in and connect to the CP just fine, can access CP Manager OK, but when I click Start, and go thru my Call Pilot App Builder program (4.0)I have on my PC, I can get there, BUT when I try to open up an App OR create a new App, I get the Error "The Application cannot be loaded to the Server, Please try again later".

Anyone have any "fuzzy" idea what is happening. My Tech Support so far, just tells me that 4.0 is downward compatible with the lower CP releases. And I've not had this issue before, i.e. accessed from CP 3.0 downward.

Any thoughts, ideas??

Thanks much!

I think our System has this Pep loadd, but I will confirm

Thanks much.

BMiles2000:

I have confirmed, SU04 PEP is loaded on the Call Pilot.
Any ideas?

Nortel has released Call Plot 4.0.4 SU01 with updates for application builder and manager. You should install these on your CP 4.0 and CP manager. There is reference to resolving problems using CP 4 app bldr and manager fixes related to compatibility with older releases of Call Pilot.

Thanks to all for the replies. I will double-check , but I'm pretty sure we already have the SU01 and SU04 loaded.

I had a similar problem when I would log into our network and connect to App Builder via Call Pilot. It seeemed to be an issue between Vlans while connecting remotely. I solved the problem by logging on to the network remotely and remote controlling another PC that had App Builder installed on it. It ended up working out great.

Sullyin.. Even thought you may have the CallPilot 4.0 SU01 installed on the Server you also have to install the App builder and the CP Manager updates to the client desktop for App Bldr and and the Manager on the server. If you have a seperate server for CP reporter, you need to install the manager pep on it as well. Let us know your status, I will be going through this soon at several sites.

Jack Oldman:

Thanks for the reply. I now have the latest and greatest APP Builder 4.0 Pep loaded on my IBM Laptop. Are you saying that I also have to load that CPManger Pep that's out there on my Laptop as well?

I'm still having issues opening up App Builder Applications.
I can connect to the CP, can open up the App Builder itself, but when I try to open up an exising Applicaiton, I get the error' "Cannot load App from Server, please try again". Thanks again.

I'm saving the same issue. Running App Builder 4.0 (client) with 3.3 on server.

I'm not sure how long this has been down.

Any thoughts?

To TelcomATSS:

The issue is not resolved. My Company Tech Support can get in but use PC Anywhere most of the time. I'm going to load PCAnywhere asasp and see if I have any issues with accessing CP Applications that way.

have always used Dial Up Networking to access my Call Pilot's remotely.

Tuesday,2/21, I dialed into a CP 2.02 and was able to access 3 out of 4 App's just fine, but the last one (and the one that needed changed) I got the same durn error messsage "Cannot load Application to the Server, pleased disconnect and try again". Aggravating.

I'm also now having an issue where the App's I do access "lock-up" and then I can't get back in.

I've never had an issue like this "until" - CP App Builder 4.0. Are you getting anywhere?

I couldn't I'm the only one out there having this problem. But then, I'm blond. :)

sullyin,
I have the 205i call pilot. It doesn't support pcanywhere. I use the remote desktop control via xp pro.

But, my issue is not remotely accessing the call pilot. It has to do with AppBuilder. This application is a means of creating, editing, a menu structure (attendant).

Callpilot was installed in Oct/04. At that time, I created 3 apps. Anyhow, went to edit an app. I receive the same error about accessing the app (above). All remote connections and web management is working fine.

They have worked on this for two days. No luck. Nortel TAC is trying to figure this our.

At this point, I can't edit or create new apps.

Thanks for the reply,

That's exactly my issue when I tried to open and edit the Applications. Please let me know what Nortel comes back with. Please advise Nortel you've heard of other companies across the region that are having the same issue with CP 4.04. I also have the latest 4.0 App Builder loaded, cause that's one of the 1st things they ask!

I'll be watching these posts to see if they gave you resolution! (Another patch, maybe?)

Thanks!
