I'm told the Call pilot 100 does in fact work with the
DR5 DS 6x16 and Modular 8x24 contrary to the manuals saying that you need at least 4.1 on a CICS or MICS.
I used to have R3.0 in my MICS test system, but when I tried to connect a CallPilot it would not finish booting up. I had connected HyperTerminal so I could watch the boot sequence, and it stopped at the point that the CallPilot detected the software version of the MICS. I upgraded the MICS to R6.1 and the CallPilot booted normally. I'll try a CallPilot on a DR5 system when I have some time next week and report back.
i have one working on a CICS 4.0. but i have a prospect with an 8x24 DR5 DS and we're just trying to be economical so we do not have to dump the 8x24 and replace it with a MICS
I tried a CallPilot on a 616 DR5-DS and it did boot up all the way. I was able to configure the voicemail. So it appears that it will work, but I wouldn't guarantee that there would not be some transfer issues with the 616.
Then it appears that if a 308, 616 or 824 has a high enough version of DR5 it WILL work with a CallPilot. This is good to know as the Startalk Flash is starting to get harder to find, especially a Flash 4.
