Can one of you Norstar experts answer this question: Is it possible to have a Call Pilot 150 and a NAM 4.0 work together on the same system? The Call Pilot would be for the ACD functions only and the NAM would be for voice mail only. It's working on a Norstar 0X32 MICS 6.1. I heard yes they can. Something called co residency or code residency. Not sure if this

Thank you all in advance.

AZ,

The CP will access the alternative Fcodes with the NAM while in Voice Mail Mode. Haven't tried it in Call Center Mode before. BUT early this year a poster tried a NAM and CP together in Mail modes and found the NAM doing some pretty odd stuff. Problem went away when CP disconnected. If this is a pretty light ACD application, consider using the ACD for the Flash. Or simply finding another NAM. I believe the coresident problems didn't show up until Rls 4.1 NAM. So you could do a back up of your present config and then try the Minuette and see if that works for you.

Arr,

Thank you. I heard that minuette is not available any longer.
Any thoughts on this ? Do you know where I can buy this sw ?

Thanks in advance.

Well I personall have tried to do this. Yes you can put a cp and a nam together on one system. The Callpilot must be the voicemail and the NAM will be your Prelude, Cinphony, or Minuet. If you need the NAM to be your voicemail, I recommend you getting another stand alone NAM. The CP will use F983-F989. A Standalone NAM with ACD will not use these feature codes. Other then that it will work as long as the CP is the voicemail and the NAM is the ACD (NON MINUET)

AZ,

Minuette is an ACD included in NAM software as loaded from Nortel. So if you go out for another NAM just make sure that it still has Minuette still there. Your Interconnect support company should be able to set this up for you. Otherwise do as NAMLY555 suggests above.
Major disadvantage of Minuette is that it will auto log out agents if phone not asnwered after 3 rings. This is not adjustable.
For all the trouble and expense you are going to, think about going to a CP 150 which will run both ACD and mail applications with all the better features to boot.

Again your Interconnect should be your next step in this process. For this forum to be of more assistance you will need to post your complete system set up and projected requirements.
