Hi,
Before I advice the client to invest in an IVR system and cost of Professional Services, I need help with the following question.

This is what I already know about Call Pilot. I belive it has extended DB access capabilities via ODBC or I think HDX (might be wrong) to retrive record set against a simple SELECT query.

I would like to collect the digits from the caller and submit to DB to retrive the balance in the account and playback the balance in Dollars and Cents.

Secondly allow the caller to zero out to an agent.

Please advice, if I can do all that within Call Pilot with no IVR.

You can setup something like that in Contact Center scripting. HDX and ODBC connections are possible with CC6 and higher.

In Call Pilot (a voicemail system) menu's and IVR's can be created but it has no DB capabilities.

Do you have Contact Center (version ?) AND Call Pilot?

Thanks Utreg,
I will need to find out the version of Call Pilot, (May be 4.5 or 5.x Not sure) but I do not believe they have any CC deployment yet.

However, based on your suggestions it is clear that Call Pilot by itself is not going to cut it, as it is geared more for VM system. It seems it will require enabling technologies (i.e. HDX and/or CC6) + the associated Professional Services (PS) costs.

In that case the customer would be best served with a separate IVR system (24 /32 Ports) with greater flexibility and scalable for future growth.

Appreciate the clarification.
