i have never been able to send fax
when i try to send it says failed to send fax

The first thing I would check is the CP ports on the PBX side and make sure they have a NCOS high enough to dial out of the PBX.

Compare the NCOS on the CP ports with the NCOS on a phone that can dial any number.

If that isn't the culprit, then its configuration issue on the CP side...check the Restriction/Permission list and make sure the number you're dialing isn't restricted.

khanadil,
This is a little bit old so maybe fixed already but I just had a similar problem and fixed it by checking the CLAN nic on the Call Pilot server and making sure that there were correct entries for the DNS server and DNS suffix in the TCPIP properties. Mine had nothing so I entered the info and have been faxing ever since.

If that doesn't help, from a PC that has desktop messaging, open up CPTrace and initiate a fax and then copy and paste the CPTrace here.

Did you configure the DTT properties and ESN access codes in CP? DTT = Delvery To Telephone, if memory serves me there might be a DTF (Delivery To Fax) poperty also. Basically you have to tell the CP how to assemble the phone number for outdialing purposes, i.e. match your calling area dialing. 9 + 1 + AC + xxx-xxxx for example so CP knows how to place the call. You can test this by using the DTT feature from you mailbox (once allowed in your mailbox class of service). It allows you to (send) a voice mail or fax from your mailbox to an offsite non CP user. Same applies to Delivery To Fax. Until you get it working there don't even bother trying to do it from the CP faxing cliet.
