Hello tech-savvy's,

I have a customer with CS1000S with CP 201i.
CUrrently the cp is down..

I tried to restart the CP many times and it gives me errors on the CP(like system unable restart services...DSP resources not available).. During the system reboot my ELAN comes with..in my LD48 stat elan..it shows as UP for say 10 secs and goes down..stating that reason as"elan down due to polling timeout".

there is also a error warning saying:
"BRD01(04100000), DSP01-001(06100000), DSP01-002(06100100),DSP01-002(06100200).
please run config wizard to fix the problem."

Please share your ideas on this platform and help resolve this issue.

Run the config wizard like it says. if that does not fix it replace the callpilot card. Be sure to move the hard drive to the new card and be sure to run the config wizard to reprlgram the DSP's. The DSP board the error is indicating is the onboard one not the PCMCIA cards.

I had the exact problenm on a 201i release 4 where the ELAN would come up for about 10 seconds after a reboot then go down. I don't remember your other symptoms being a part of the problem but they could have been.

In the event viewer, I kept seeing IPSec errors. I stopped and disabled IPSec service and then the CallPilot would come up and the ELAN would stay up. However, I found that Application Builder wouldn't work (I couldn't get into it to view/modify the applications) with that service down.

After going to Nortel with the problem, I obtained a backup and re-imaged the server. I restored the backup and that system has been running fine ever since.

Hello telebub .. i think itried stopping and restarting the IPSEC services...but let me try it out once again.

Hi tnphoneman...for runnning the config wizard do i need a SCSI drive for re-imaging it? if so, then can you share your thoughts on any other alternative method...since i am unable to find a scsi to ide cable....

Thanks for your suggestions..

Ok I have run into the same issue on the 600r. Open the case and remove the DSP daughterboard from the machine and then reseat it and it will work. Problem shows up on power outages not on reboots.

What release is this CallPilot? Do you have the latest SU PEP and CallPilot Manager PEP installed on the server?

This is a know issue with IPSEC and the system having a power outage. Makse sure all the latest PEPs are installed.

Also, when you run the config wizard, reinstall the languages. this re-flashes the DSP's and is a requirement of some PEPs.

Here is an update from the DSP error on the 600r. It seems that only and only on a power outage that you can unplug the ethernet cable going to the front of the mgate card just long enough for it to get past where you would get the dsp error and then plug it back in and it will boot into service.
