thread798-1406603

We have a callpilot 200i that just died, didnt bother repairing the crashpilot, instead we decided to upgrade to 201i. Installed it in Slot 9, Ping Option 11c and CP back and forth successfully. The card came with SU02. I figure Its best to upgrade it to SU04 and install the latest PEP's before I rebuild the mailboxes from scratch, so I did. After finishing the Configuration Wizard, I tried calling the CDN to see if its working. It only ring once and then dead air. What could be the problem? I reference the thread above, one User says He downgrade to 2.0 and it works, should I try that? I appreciate any help.

You will need keycodes for the 201I that match the call server serial # and a dongle. You cant just replace a 200i with a 201i and expect it to work.

@KCFLHRC, Thank you, but I as per my post, I FINISHED the configuration wizard, meaning I have Keycodes to start with. We bought the card with Keycodes for 200 MBoxes. Just to be more clear with my setup, as I stated before, we have a 200i, it uses a breakout box for Elan and Clan. I used it and moved it to slot 9, previously Slot 10. Clan is connected, but not Elan, but I see that the CP can see the PBX, and PBX can see the CP as Elan, pinged both back and forth successfully. CallPilot says its ready to receive call, but not answering.

Could it be that I really need to use the Multi I/O Cable instead of the Breakout Box? Even if the PBX thinks that its connecting to the Callpilot using Elan and Callpilot using Clan to connect to the PBX?

So the 200i was installed in slot 10 and you installed the 201i in slot 9? Not gonna work unless you reprogram the agents into slot 9

Reprogram the ACD from 10 0 to 9 0 correct? Dang! so I need to out and rebuild because MOV is no no.

I'm not sure the 201i is supported in slot 10 however. Worth a shot though

Thanks, I did try it and amazingly it worked! without the Multi I/O cable, and slot 10! Many people here say that it works in slot 10 although not recommended by Nortel. The cable will arrive tomorrow and I will install it and remove the breakout box. I will reprogram the ACD to slot 9 as well but for now, after I install the cable, I will leave it alone and see if its stable in slot 10. Good News is atleast we have voicemail up and running today. Thank to you, you deserve a star! Anyways, can you give me some procedure on how to reprogram the agents if I move it to slot 9? its been a while since I worked on terminals!

would say nortel say not recommended as it can have up to 40 TNs so the last 8 would need to be on card 11 and there aint one

Correct odds are by using slot 10 you are getting all of your voice channels so I would move it to 9 and reprogram. But if not at least make 8 or 9 calls into it at one time and see if all get answered.

Thanks guys! I'm waiting for the Multi I/O cable to come in today, Im going to move it to slot 9, but first I need to reprogram the agents. Its been awhile since I touch the terminal, so how should I go with it? I have the TNB of the agents, I go to LD11 and out the TN (10 0) then New?

Thanks in Advance, would really appreciate some guidance.

Correct, power down the Call Pilot so the agents are not acquired. Then out each one and then rebuild each one on slot 9. Then you will need to run configuration wizard in CP and change the tn's from slot 10 to 9.

Thanks yet again! CallPilot working solid, Full Backup done. Thanks all for the help!
