Call Pickup 1

I have a guy who runs our helpdesk and i am in the same pickup group so I can pickup the line when he is busy. The problem is he is answering my phone when im not around. How can i set this up so he can't pick my phone up but i want to be able to pick his up.

how is it set up? are you in a pick up group? take yourself out. Are you multi appearence scr? are you mcr? is it your hunt setting?

I had in my original message that we are in the same pickup group. I know that i can remove myself but i won't be able to pick his line up. All i want to do is stop him from picking mine up.

Is it critical for you to stay in the group? Yeah, sorry I missed that. Do you need to pickup other lines as well? You could remove yourself, add his rollup line to your set. But, there may be a better solution.

No i only need to pickup his line.

that might be the ticket, add him as scr or scn appearence on your set and remove yourself from the group

Im sorry to sound ignorant but what is scr or scn?

Put yourself in RNPG 0. Add DPUA to your CLS. Add a KEY with DPU on your set. When his dn rings, press DPU key and his dn.

his extention single call ringing (normal)

or single call non-ringing, incase you want to see his line but not have to listen to it ring.

If he doesn't need to pick up calls from the pickup group, then just change is CLS to PUD.

What has already been said makes the most sense - Take yourself out of the Call Pickup Group. You can use DPUA - Directed Call Pickup to pickup the other person's phone. And, the fact that you are not in the pickup group - means he can't pickup your calls at all. Program what mbcto says above.
