Is there a way for a receptionist to park or camp a call to a button on his/her phone so if the call rings back she will know who is ringing back? This is a grocery store setting so the people recieving the calls are pretty much never standing at thier phone.

Any thoughts would be helpfull. Thanks

Matt

Yep, you got. SWCA on both 6.0 and 6.1

System Wide Call Appearances. What this does is give extensions that do not have line appearances a way of putting calls on hold where others can see it and pick it up. Basically you are parking a call on a button. You can assign up to 16 SWCA Keys to each telephone in a group by doing a Feature * 3 + one of the 16 available codes.
Feature * 520 – Feature * 535.

With the only customer that was looking for this I assigned 4 keys on each receptionist phone starting from F*521 thru F524 (it made more numbering sence to them starting with a series ending in a 1 rather than have the first key end in a 0; not programmers or engineers there) then a PA announcement caused the paged party to go to the closest phone and dial the code for the call.

Jerry?

In SWCA can you announce the parked calls and pick up using intercom 521 etc... as you would a parked call?
I assumed these features had to be programmed to keys.

I don't remember if there was a page option out of SWCA, (We programmed a F630 button for that) but you can park and pickup the calls by dialing feature * 5 2 1. didn't have to have a key on every phone. Training the poor sap with an analog cordless phone though was a bit more time consuming.
