i am curious if there is a way in avaya land to replicate a rolm user experience when (avaya) parking a call. From my understanding, on the rolm system callers were able to press hold (which in avaya land actually parked the call) and inform (via page or shout) an individual to answerback the call by dialing the rolm pick code/avaya answer back code (*3 in this case). My Avaya sense tells me the user unfortunate enough to have answered the call will have to first initiate a transfer and then dial a park code before paging/shouting. Is this true? or is there a way to get the avaya to emulate the how the rolm operated?

We use it in one of our offices:

• Whichever line a call comes in on is where the call will get parked…so if you answer a call on your attorney’s line, it parks on their line
• Press the PARK button – you will hear 3 confirmation tones
• Advise the person picking up the call to enter #77 and the extension where the call is parked (call comes in to Becky…from any phone, Becky could enter #77 201921).

You will need to assign a call park pickup code in your feature-access-codes form.
