call not forwarding on 2616

when a users is forwarding to someone else...for some odd reason the calls still rings through on their phone. After it reads CFWD in the display of the phone (m2616) . is this a class of service. Here is their current CLS's

You may not be completing the forward proccess.

Dial number
press forward again Lamp should be lit by forward button

you can trace phone to see if forward is activated.

Also, there is a setting (I would have to look it up, but will if you think this is it) in the Configuration Record (LD 17) that is for maximum forwards. This will only let a call forward x number of times. IE: I call x2000, it then forwards to x2050, then that is forwarded to x2100. Whether this is a call forward all, forward busy or forward no answer or hunt, it is all the same. So has the call that is not forwarding possible already been forwarded some number of times. I think default is 3 so you can call x2000, then forward to x2001, then one last time. Let me know

forward is for 3 hops only, can't change it, never have, never will. hunt is for 31 hops (busy) and you can build a workaround for that.

Whoops, now that I look in the manual, johnpoole is right. I was getting it confused with LD 15 Call Forward Ring Cycles until forward. Sorry, but still technodrew, could this be the issue?, that it already forwarded or hunted 3 times before appearing at the phone you are trying to forward.

Also, are you trying to forward in house or an external Call Forward??
