Call manager express advice

Good day to you all, hope someone can help an old school telephone guy with his first steps into call manger

I have a little project on the go and would like to know if it is feasible?

Its the usual main office and a branch office scenario that i would like to connect together using CME, they have pots lines at both sites and would like to keep them that way rather than centralization for local calls etc

I have been doing some rummaging around on the internet etc and think that it will be possible to put a router at the main site (about 30 telephones required) running call manager express with FXS ports for pots lines and run a VPN tunnel between the main office and the branch office?

Now the next question here is will i have to run a CME at the branch office for the pots lines to connect FXS ports to or can i run a SRST setup on the router at the branch office for the two telephones and a ATA there?

Can anyone suggest which devices i will need and will i be able to mock all this up on GNS3 or another suitable simulator?

will try and post a diagram if possible to simplify thins if it would help?

You would want to run 2 CME routers at each location with FXO cards. Not FXS. You can do the VPN tunnel for site to site extension calling.

I have access to a couple of Cisco 2801 routers would they be suitable for the site equipment?

It will run the code. Now is it enough for the FXO cards, that's dependent on how many you'll need.

Your going to need DSP's in your router that you'll be using the FXO card on.

will nee about six FXO ports on one router and two or three on the other

sounds like the price of an empty router going up quite quickly
