Is there a way to have call information logged to a computer for analysis. I would like to know what extensions are dialing what numbers.

Thanks.

I forgot to mention it's a merlin magix system and it's already hooked up to a PC for winSPM.

sure, you can hook up a serial cable, same one you would use for programming via computer, to the smdr port on the processor and then to a serial port on a pc. you can use hyperterm to test the connection and see the raw data. you would need some sort of software to actually save and process the data daily. or, you could hook up a serial printer instead of a pc. it would just print the smdr data as it was generated.

Can you recommend any software that would do this?

Thanks.

we use telemate from verso software, but i wouldn't recommend it. i placed a call on last thursday and have yet to talk to anyone about it.

i believe avaya makes a call acct system. i even think i saw some free ones on the web at one time, or at least free demo versions.

thanks, tim
