Hi I have a nortel mics 6.1 system.
And we'd like to start logging calls so that people can review the last x amount of calls.

i've been looking at the documentation and testing with my phone. I've set up my phone to log all calls but when I try to access the log it says i do not have a log assigned.
and i've looked into the documentation however i do not see in the documentation on how to assign phones a call log.

i've looked on the net and i keep seeing a reference to a smdr 6 for logging calls to an external computer. however i don't think we need that.
just a way to keep on record the last 10-20 calls made incomming outgoing whatever.

any help would be appreciated.
thanks

call logging is for inbound only and will only work with caller id/pri

If i lived in colorado i would be skiing already. But i dont so its a long 4 weeks till opening day.

ok thats cool.
we have caller id with a pri.
i've set the log size and all that for the phones.
however when i do feature 812 i get no log assigned.

how do i assign a phone a log?

under telco features, you can specify the log space allocated to each extension

i've done that. we have 30 phones in the office. i put in 020 for 30 sets.
however when i go into the individual telephone when i do log space is see.

Log:0 Pool:0
CANCL

any ideas?

pool 0 (i think) means all the call log spaces are usedup
max is 600

Are you saying what type of calls to log? (this is a setting under user preferences)
eg all calls
unanswered calls

ok i have 29 phones.
when i reset the call log how many should i give it?

do the sets show any info on incomming calls

If i lived in colorado i would be skiing already. But i dont so its a long 4 weeks till opening day.

ok i finally got it working.
i went in and reset the call log several times using different numbers.
010 seems to have done the trick of getting all the phones onto their call logs and logging.

thanks for the tips guys.
