I have a customer running an IP500 V2 with 6.1 Software and Voicemail Pro. They have a call center setup and the want to log every call made by the users of a certain group. Is there a way to set this up so it will create a log file on the voicemail pro PC and not just log to the phone?

Thank You

You can use SMDR but you will have to search a lot.
The other option is CCR or any other call center application.

also depends on the cost you are prepared to spend

order of cost:

Avaya CCR
Xima Chronicall
Tri-line - Tim Plus

there are plenty of others......

Decided on going with SMDR Output to save customer some money.

When you set Output to SMDR only

Setup your IP address
Records to Buffer
Call Splitting for Diverts

What should you set TCP/IP to ? and Where are these logs stored?

-Thank You

Justin

You'll need software to gather the SMDR data and then you'll set the IP address and port to whatever PC that software is running on and the port it is listening on.

download netcat for windows and start it from a DOS box with this command:
nc.exe -l -p 8011 > smdr-%date:~3,2%-%date:~6,2%-%date:~9,4%_%time:~0,2%.%time:~3,2%.txt

8011 is the portnumber stup in IP Office > System > SMDR
the ip address is the ip address of the pc running netcat
the smdr data is stored in a file named like this :
smdr-15-04-2011_12.47.txt

There are tools to be able to schedule a restart daily to have a file for each day.
You can import the file in MS Excel and create reports within MS Excel.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

sod saving the customer money, they either want call reporting or not, so let the call reporting experts (listed above) take care of it.. sounds like they are getting their (lack of) moneys worth out of you!
