What are the requirements for call logging in SV8100? Is there a free solution?

Thanks,

SMDR license in the PBX, and a NEC or 3rd party call accounting system.

Is there a way to find out if I have the SMDR license?

If you can log in with PCPro, go to feature activation and look for license number 0008. Or, log in with WEB PRO, go to MB 10-50 and look for license number 0008

Somehow there is no 10-50.

PCPro however shows SMDR.

What do you see in that?

I see two SMDR licenses. Only one is required. Someone added an additional license. In any case, you are licensed for SMDR. Now you need a call accounting system software. We always used Tapit from trysis. It seems to be easy to use and self learning.

I made a poor mans CDR using putty.
I use putty to remote the the smdr port, and write it to a log.
I then have a scheduled task that restarts putty after midnight, and names the file to that days date. Works great!!
