We have a Norstar KSU/PRI MICS 5. Handsets are M7310.

How do I setup Call Logs? Some phones have it, some don't. I logged in | Terminals & Sets | User preferences | Call log opt’ns | Log all calls, for the phone I wanted to enable it on. If I do F 812 I get "No log assigned". Do I have to do something else, perhaps on the Flash? I ran F*84 at the phone too.

@ curly

in Terminals & Sets \Telco Features I have VMsg ctr tell#s, and ONN blocking (and some other stuff under that). Nothing is apparent to me regarding call logging, or assigning such feature to a phone.

you have no target lns assigned to that set if u did u would see other prompts under telco feats. like class assignment, call log set etc.

you need to assign the call log space to a phone first.
Default none.
otherwise it does not work.

change it to say 20 to log the last 20 calls.

Check your other phones and assign the same amount to this phone.

That heading should still be there, regardless of what lines are assigned to the set.

After assigning log space to the phone, go to that phone and dial F*84 to setup the log options.

@ snowman50

Under what menus (and how do I access them) do I find call log space? My hunch is this is what I must do. Thanks.

This phone must have a line assigned. A DID rings to it. Is the system capable of logging internal calls? i.e. log that an internal extension called?

@ curly

Call log opt'ns do appear under Preferences, but nothing about assigning log space. If I had to guess, I'd have to look into the Flash voicemail box and configure log space there. Not sure how to do this.

Actually I didn't test this very well. I'm still missing something. On my phone, if I get a call, the display will show the log and there was a new call. I want this behavior on another phone.

Here's how i set it up:

I setup 20 for
Terminals & Sets | Telco Features | Log Space

Terminals & Sets | User preferences | Call log opt'ns | Log all calls

At the handset,

I ran F*84 and noted it says log all calls.

I ran F 812. It says "Log is empty" which is an improvement over "no logged assigned".

If I call them from an outside line (cell phone), I see caller ID, but after the call, no log. The log is empty.

pcrequest - ever get this working? I'm pretty much stuck where you're at, calls are not logging despite everything set up as it's supposed to be...
