I just checked my call log and next to one of the names there was a two-way arrow <-> with two telephone handset icons around it (like brackets). Does anyone know what this indicates? thank you.
"You can check your Call Log to determine whether or not a caller was sent the set-to-set message. A * (M3903) or [<->] (M3904) will appear beside the call log entry of the callers who saw your message. Note: This feature is not available on the Meridian SL-100.
perfect. Thanks a lot. I saw a post yesterday about set-to-set messaging and never knew it was something that could just be turned on via CLS. so I turned mine on. Thanks!
You're welcome. Yeah - that was my post, so it was still fresh in my head. I also noticed that the sets with messaging activated make a noise similar to the buzz heard when the rollover line is accessed - so be aware of that happening as well.
once I activated set-to-set messaging and had someone call me I noticed there was a * next to their name on my display so I assumed that was the phone's way of telling me the person calling me was seeing my message. But when my phone is in idle status there doesn't seem to be anything on the display that "reminds" me I have set-to-set messaging turned on so it seems to me it would be very easy to forget to turn it off...or did I miss something?
That was my observation as well. Unless anyone else knows otherwise, I'm guessing the user has to remember to turn the feature on and off on their own.
