Hi all, I have a SOE with 3.2.55 and I am trying to set up
Call listen on a 4610 set and an analog set.
I have ticked the monitor and can be intruded, but when I press the button on the 4610 set, it does nothing.

Can someone tell me what need to be done to get this to work.

Thanks

Call Listen on IP sets isn't supported - which is why it doesn't work....

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Yes the phone are in the same monitor group.
The book says an Ip station can monitor an analog station.
I would even be happy having an analog station do monitoring.

An 4610 can do call-listen.

Did you also ticked can intrude on the 4610.

Yeah I did tick the can intrude, But when I press the button for call listen it just beeps.
Can you tell me how the button works and what I should be doing when I press the button.

I think you also need to put a short code for that user in and set it up for call listen

I set up the short code *59 and when I dial that from an IP set, I get a busy signal. When I dial it from an analog set,
I get a contiuous tone. Maybe I'm not using it right.

Is what I believe to be correct - just poorly expressed.

You cannot listen to a call that uses an IP set. However, you can use an IP set to listen to calls!

Yes thats correct you can use aan ip-set for call listen.

I have digital station 100 and ip-station 101.
Have cannot be intruded unticked at station 100 and can intrude ticked at station 101.

Also made a shortcode
*99
100
call-listen

Also both phone,s in monitor group sales and be sure both phone,s are an member of the sales group.

Then it must work.

Ok I will try it your way big70, with 2 analog sets.
I tried it with both sets can intrude ticked and what I got was when one set was busy on a call and I tried to monitor,
I just got a beep beep beep tone.

I think the call has to be in progress to start the call listen.

I tried that to but after the call is started all I get is a beep beep beep tone.
I don't think it works with 3.2.55, maybe it will work with 4.0.5

i did it with 3.2(55) 100% that it works.
But i have locale NL

Greets Peter

I tried NL in the locale and I get the same thing, continuious tone and theit goes to a beep beep beep tone.

I set up the short code as *59*N#. I am doing this with 2 analog sets. I just don't know what I could be dooing wrong.

ISnt the 3 beeps normal doesnt that mean it is connected. I have this working on 2 digital sets. I have Can intrude checked on both phones and i have a short code on each user like this

*35*N#
Call listen
TN N
Line 0

Then i have programmed a button on each phone the is *35*8282#. They press the button and are then listening to the call. I use this in a police dispatch center to listen to the calls coming in.

I got it workig finaly, I had to take out the IP sets in the monitor tab and just leave the analogs in the monitor tab. And it will only work if a call is already astablished.

Thank you all for your halp

Kwing are you able to listen in on in bound trucks.
What is 8282 used for.
