call listen not functioning after upgrade to v 4.05

Hey guys,
I've been reading alot of posts in the forum about upgrading to v 4.05 on the ip office and the problems it has, but regardless my numbnutt assistant did it. Now the call listen function is not working and when you dial the shortcode we get a "number busy" message? I'm guessing thats part of the bugs with v 4.05? To mention also we lost the dial 9 for outside line, and hard to hard code into evey users extenion. Can someone verify they had something like this?

Our distributor has offered us a private build version 4 to fix this.

Call listen not working is definately a new bug(oops I mean feature) added to v4.05!

thats what i figured. proceeding with downgrade...thanks for the feedback guys.

You do not need to downgrade.

If you speak to a distributor they will be able to source a v4 patch to fix this.

To downgrade from the version you are on you will have to go to 3.2

You will lose any ov the v4 features you may be using, SIP, ARS, Announcements etc.

If you are on an IP500 you cant go any lower either, you can only stay on v4.

Im not telling you how to suck eggs, just pointing out.

thanks buddy...contacted distributor, and they'll send the patch. ill try to get some feedback on the patch at least on the forum if it fixed the problems.

The issue is that if you are logged on to a base extn that doesnt match the user profile number, the IPO tries to listen to th base extn and not the user profile and it rejects it.

If you are desperate for this - you can program a button, associated with the actual user (so 1 button per user) - or I suppose you could program a shortcode per user - then this does work!! Don't you love these bugs.

If you are not using the new V4 features, downgrade, and wait for the V4 maint release. Hopefully the maint release features will work, and sorry guys, but "work/run arounds" are not working features. If the feature worked you would not need the run around, and if the run around does not make the feature work exactly as the feature is originally stated it is not even a good run around.
