Okay, this is sort of strange, since I expected it to work and it did not, but I have a hunt group that a user wants to ring at two phones when dialed.

The way it's set up now, is the hunt group (5150, DID) has a DDE setup and only one extension (5153, DID).

The second phone we want to ring is on button 3 of one of our F*B crew, (5159, DID).

Per button ring control and Bridged Call Alerting are both enabled.

When you direct-dial xxx-5153, Button 3 of Station 5159 lights up and both phones ring (as expected).

However, when you dial 5150 (Hunt) out to 5153, station 5153 will ring but station 5159 ignores it altogether.

Is this by design or is there some option that needs to be set to allow calls on button 1 of 5153 to BRDG-APPR out to 5159 when it receives calls from the Hunt-Group Extension 5150?

Pfew...hope I explained that alright!

If i understand you, you want 1 telephone number to ring on 2 phones simultaneously?
if so- skip the hunt group part and just use the 5153 extension with port assignment of x (exported) then bridge the appearance on the 2 (or more) phones you want the line to ring on.
Hunt groups are for call distribution... to a single line. i think that is interfering with your multiple bridged appearances.

Bridged appearances do not work (light, ring, or bridge) on Hunt Group or Cover Answer Group calls.

I can't get rid of the hunt-group, as this is some crazy setup that this department is adamant on having so they can remote-button night-service the phones from any of their stations, they are not open to any suggestions I give them for alternatives.

What I want is when Hunt group (5150) rings to the Reservation Desk (5153) it also rings the FB Supervisor (5159) at the same time. But it sounds like from lopes1211 comment, that this is a no go, I will advise the department of this; it's been an ongoing battle.

What if hunt group 5150 has no members and you create a cover path of a coverage answer group with 5153 and 5159 in it. Wouldn't this ring both phones? The department can still use the night-service button as before.

I would just tell them you created a new hunt group :)

then create and extension with 5150
create a new coverage path for it (say 20)
give extensions 5153 and 5159 bridged appearances and a "send-all-calls" button for x5150 (to act as their night service button)
modify coverage path 20 to send the calls to their night service destination.

additionally you can have 2 coverage paths (i have not figured out how to use this because it has not been a need yet). but you can have coverage path 20 go to voicemail and coverage path 21 go to the night service destination. then they can modify which is the active coverage path instead of activating the night service button.

in order to give them what they need you are going to have to convince them that the words hunt group are not that important... it is the functionality that is important (unless of course i am missing something in the equation)
