Call Hold on Hicom 300 ETSI PRI

we are currently integrating an IVR machine over an ETSI E1 trunk connected to an Hicom 300 which should support the ETSI supp services (the protocol has ben set to ETSI).
But when the IVR sends a Call Hold message the Hicom replies with 'message type not existent/not supported' that sounds strange. Does anyone know if the Hicom support the Call Hold over base access only or if it can be a configuration or release dependant problem?
