how would I get the missed calls to stay on the screen.
?

Take a shot at figuring out what other information we might need to answer this question

System Type?
Software Version?
Telephone Model type?

I don't think you can make it stay visible anymore

On 3300 CxII running 8.0 PR3 5340 Phone
Press Settings (blue grey key above HOLD)
Then Settings on LCD display
Then Call Notification on LCD display
Then select display call info

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

I have heard back from Mitel support and they said.

I have reviewed clearquest and found DPAR MN00594492 where it states that this functionality was removed from firmware version 6.3.0.3.

The behaviour was changed because we had too many complaints from the field that the Notification Window was staying up, and they wanted it gone. Customers had other ways to check missed calls (Call History), so they didn't need or want the Call Notification window to stay up on the phone. SO we recently changed the default, based on customer input.

So, To review, it would have been a good idea to provide the following information in your original post

Type of system
Software Level
Type of phone being tested

Without the above, we're just guessing and you're wasting our time.

Yeah I've already requested a DPAR to change this back to the old way it worked, where the missed notification stayed on the screen. Call History doesn't show as robust of detail in a single view, plus it requires the user to press a key, where the old way all they had to do was look at the display.

Seems stupid to just turn it off , you have to go through a few hoops to enable it in the first place, they should have just added a menu option to disable it so you could if you wanted to )

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Lundah, please explain what you mean by a DPAR. Thanks

DPAR = Design Patch Request. Typically results from a trouble reported to Mitel where the system is not operating according to design

DCR = Design Change request. Any certified tech can request a design change. It needs to be backed up with a logical / monetary reason to change and is typically a long drawn out process that usually goes nowhere.

I believe Lundah meant DCR
