Hi All.

I have a strange problem going on here, where when I call a user, going through the auto attendant, and the phone rings, it only rings one time and then goes to voicemail.

If I call the auto attendant, zero out to the receptionist, and they transfer me to the extension I either get the person or after 4 rings go to voicemail.

Just for giggles I removed the forward busy / forward no answer, called in through the auto attendant, dialled the user's extension and hit voicemail, even though I removed the forward busy / no answer.

I had the user remove call forwarding (Feature #4) and it still happens.

Any ideas?

Regards

Is the ext entered into the ext field of the voice mail? Is the system patched to it's version's latest? If yes to both... reboot the BCM.

Hi allworxguy...

Found the issue.

There are two issues, actually.
First, there were two PRIV oli's. Which would explain why when I called the extension through the Auto Attendant, two instances of a line would fire.

Secondly, there are two phones with the same IP Address that the customer will have to address. The phones should be DHCP, but I am too far away to tell (grin), so all they should have to do is unplug and restore and pull a new IP address.

Will tell more as soon as I verify.

Hi All.

Here was solution for my problem for any who come after me.

1) There were 2 PRIVATE OLI's with the same id. Had to change that.
2) There were 2 sets with the same IP. Got rid of one, and now there is only one phone with the IP.
3) had to reboot the system.

After this, everything works normally.

Thanks to everyone for their assistance.

Regards
