call go on hold automaticly when answered 1

I have 5330 and 5340 phones that when you place a call and the other ext answers the person placing the call is put on hold
 
Most reasonable explaination:

Called extension has a multicall button of their extension. Called extension lifts handset which answers call.
Called extension mistakenly presses a key to answer the call
Calling extension placed on hold, called extension hears dialtone.

Could ringing line select do the same thing when a line is pushed to answer after going offhook?
 
Oh yes. We've had this/got this. Just had an inhouse user report it to me today.
Has to do with 6510 and it's integration.
Pretty annoying. You answer a call and it's immediatly put on hold. The fix is to disable the phone integration to the 6510.

The customer is using Nupoint but its the same intergration I will give it a shot so far rebooting the phone clears the problem and it only seems to happen once to each phone.
 
My memory must be failing. It wasn't the 6510 causing the issue in our case. It was Microsoft OCS. Had to disable the client phone integration.

have the same thing. trouble is the phone integration to OCS is mandatory..

did you perpaps escalate this to 3rd line?
