My customer is a Police Dept. that has a Multicall Key on several phones. During non-emergency situations (road closures) they wish to Call Fwd 3rd party the Mutlicall DN to a Menu node that would give the caller options including a info box or menu node that would give the road clousre info. This so they are not inindated with calls.

I have the Menu node working correctly. But when I Call Fwd 3rd party the mutlicall key to the Menu node. I get the Msg "The person you are trying reach is unavailable" The Menu node is 8537 which is also a Phantom Single Line Dn Call Rerouted to VM. If you call the 8537 directly all works fine.

Does this sound correct or am I missing something else?

The voicemail is trying to integrate with the DN of the Multicall key.

As you are getting a default greeting, I will assume that a mailbox already exists matching that number but is not in use.

Change it to be a Menu Node and you're done.

If that doesn't suit your tast, you'll have to break the integration. This can be problematic.

Caution - DO NOT USE Nametag groups as some may suggest when integrating with menu nodes, you must use an ACD method. There are FAQ's on these methods.

Thanks kwbmitel, I actually woke up in the middle of the night and thought of the same thing. Thanks for the verification.

Now, Is there a way to get the Caller ID to pass through to the 911 operator.

Outside caller calls Mutlicall number
Multicall number CFW to VM menu node
Option 1 Phantom DN to System Speed Call dials 911.

911 operator gets the Caller ID of the Police Dept PRI.

They are actually asking for 911 to be a menu option.
It should be hang up and dial 911 if an emergency!

Just while we're talking 911 or triple zero, do you think it's a good idea to create a speed dial for the non-PABX user so that missing the trunk access code still gets them to the right place?

ie, speed dial 911 = 9-911 for those that use it
or speed dial 000 = 0-000 for where I am from.

We use it for schools.

Munz.

I would have two entries in ARS for 911/000 and 9+911/9+000, give them both unique (emergency) routes and COR that will allow any extension to dial them.

Just be aware that, at least in Australia, if you require international dialling, you will see a conflict as the international dialling prefix is 0011 (meaning, to dial it is 00011...etc).

Make sure that your Voicemail ports are barred from outside access and your admin, manager and technician codes are changed, if your client is a Police Station you do not to have to explain how someone hacked their voicemail and ran up a nice big phone bill using their lines !!

They decided to not to put an option to forward to 911.
Thanks to all.
