Hi
Can any one help?
When using call fwd to outside from a custom menu on a TVM50
the call will not transfer? The TVM seems to hold on to it?
It rings the exteranl number ok but when you answer the call it immediately cuts you off and on the phone you are ringing from it says "enter your parties mailbox"
The default for fwd external id FND this rings out an d cuts off even before you answer the destination number, I change it to FN and get the problem described

I have tried many changes to timers, COS etc and resets without a solution?

Mike

What's the mystery phone sysem model?

The VM can dial the number, although in a TDA series, I'd use the ICD group to do it. You still have to have the phone system COS and trunk-to-trunk options enabled to make it work.

Hi LkEErie

Thanks for reply.

Phone System is KX-TDA100 with ISDN2 lines.

When you say use an ICD group do you mean in the Custom Service menu ie press 1 for showroom it transfers to say ICD 610 and that is forwarded external?
Do I need an extension in the ICD?
I have tried transfer to extension 202 which I had forwarded external with COS and trunk to trunk enabled, but I got the same result.
It is as if the Voicemail holds on to it?

I have installed dozens of the TVM but never had to use this transfer call to outside?

There are probably some other double forward factors involved here, but in 2.7.1 and 3.5.1 Group forward, you will set an entirely different group, like maybe 611 to forward to an external number for both CO and EXT calls, set your COS entirely different like maybe COS 4 or 5 to co CO-CO and add a limit on external calls. Since we don't have ISDN on this side of the pond, I don't know how it will behave, but it's a start.

Thanks again LkEErie

I will try again tommorrow on site with your suggestions.

Hi LkEErie

Thanks for previous suggestions I thought I had allowed fwd to CO but I had it in the wrong COS, all working fine now.
