Hi.

I have a station A with a button to send-calls, the cover path of this station is to station B. When in station A is activated the send-calls button, all calls are redirectec to station B. That works correctly.

In the station B, there is a button to call-fwd.

When a call is placed directly to station B, the call follows the call-fwd, if activated. Correctly too.

When a call is placed to station A, the send-call is active in station A and the call-fwd is active in station B, then, a call placed to station A appears in station B (correct) but don't follows the call-fwd (I don't like this).

How can I to do this second pass?

Thank in advance. Sorry my english.

It may be best to just create the coverage path like you need to including cover remote (if that is what you are trying to accomplish) Have them hit their SAC buttons as they leave and make it go to where you want to.

If you need help setting this up let us know. We will be glad to help you.

Hi, mikeydidit.

I have used remote cover, but it is not the adecuate way in this case for two reasons.

Station A is the boss and station B is the secretary. The secretary can be two or three persons (station B is allways the same physical terminal). The call-fwd in station B is used when the secretary goes to coffee-room, to make photocoies, even when go home. It can by many number to direct the call-fwd of staion B

If I use cover remote:

1.- It can expend a lot of time until the call is answered, depending the person is active in each moment.

2.- It is not possible to redirect calls to an other number out of cover path.

Thanks one more time.

Hi mikeydidit, sorry for the bother but i have the exact some problem with the Call Foward going to an external number and the Cover path has 2 points. If party b has the C-Fwd set on, the call to party 1 goes to the 2nd point in the cover path . Tks in advance am a bit stuck at the mom

What you both of you are finding out is that call forwarding and coverage paths do not play nice together. Call forwarding will over ride coverage paths.

What I do here to help their calls get answered is build the coverage paths to multiple points.

A. Main secretary
B. Break room
C. Copy room.

Make the coverage path around 3 rings and SAC. If they are not going to be in their office, then SAC the phone. A goes to B. If at C then it rolls there. You can use SAC on the phones to make them go to the next point without the wait.

One other thing that may help is placing the Plantronics wireless headset at the main secretary's desk. We use the CS-50 headset with the HL-10 handset lifter. You will not believe the range. If the copy machines are within a couple of rooms they can still take their calls and make copies.
