I am confused about how to allow a client to CF all his calls as soon as it hits his ext..

He has T1R1 and I can not locate the instructions in the manual to do this other than to call forward to another extension.

Does this use a Centrex transfer or only a LINK or Patch with another C/O line?

In R4.1 what is the procedure for this?

Thanks!

Creates a conference call.

Put all your public lines in Pool A, build Route 001 to use Pool A, give everyone access to Pool A, build destination code 9 to use route 001.

At the set dial F4 - 9 - destination phone number.

Nortel is big on causing all data to be lost when you downgrade anything.

I don't how in the heck, I put this response on this thread. Plz, forgive me.

I can view the Nortel manual on line while out in the field like I can with Avaya's site?

Allowing Redirect will then allow for external Call Forwarding?

Not with R1T1 software
you need at least 4.1 for External Call Forward

On a DR5 is this possible? If so I can not find the instructions to Call Forward all calls at an Ext. to an outside telephone number.

Do you have them?

On any software lower than R4.1, external forwarding has to be done using 'Line Redirection'

Thank you. Then for future reference for SW higher than 4.1 what are the instructions?

Don't forget the copper MICS went from DR1 - DR5.1. you can not forward a call with that vintage. The fiber MICS started at RelT1 software and goes to 7.1. On the fiber MICS call forwarding outside the system started at Rel4.1. There is a faq on setting this up, I used it and worked perfectly. As exmogger mentioned you need to do some programming, having at least 4.1 sw and a fiber MICS.

You can use "line redirect" to forward DID's or telephone lines, but in my opinion it doesn't work well.

it's amazing the number of posts about how to call forward to an external number...i bet it's been at least 10 or so in the past couple months.

If the phone system allow for redirect ring under lines, set to yes the just call foward F4 to outside the system.
