Call Foward Question

Why can I do a external call foward to some local numbers and not all? From my 3904 I can forward to my cell phone by using the softkey and then 9 and the 7 digit number. Works great but other local 7 digit numbers will ring into a fast busy.

usually has to do with cff/cfo options in the cdb.. that married to bars can cause that problem.. that problem usually happens when your calling in on a trunk and back out. if this is calling from a station to your station then cfxa it may be another problem

Yes, I can call the other 7 digit numbers with no problem, tried the CFXA no change in status.

Do you have a special route for Cell phones? When I was at my last location we had a contract with Verizon and a T1 dedicated directly to them that allowed all Verizon Cell phones to go out. If Cell phone calls go out a different set of trunks that could be why you can CFXA to a cell phone and not to another local number.

If this is a case check settings on both routes.

no special route, all calls go out the same t1.

I had a similar problem with one of my customer sites. The problem ended up being an outgoing caller id (clid) issue where some cell phone companies want to see the whole 10 digit number for you. There are also some 800 numbers that use your caller id to bill back to you and they want to see the full number as well. Hope it helps.

i have raninto that, where some carriers did not accept calls because of casual clid entries.. we had one where mci 1800 could not be reached without a clid
