Hello,

I am trying to find out the best possible way to create a quick dial using an ext. 555 to go directly to 1-866-699-3239. I am using Cisco Call Manager 7.1 . Could someone give me the easiest way to do this? Thanks

the fastest way will be to create a CTI route point with a DN of 555 and forward it always to the number above.
A CTI RP is under the devices tab

I have created the CTI route but when creating the dn where will i find the forward it always. I do see the forward always but it gives me an error saying forward all Destination - allowed characters are numeric (0-9),plus +,asterisk(*),X.

it is the forward all destination you need to populate. Make sure you assign a CSS on that destination that allows calls outbound.

Thanks I tried this one as well. Still get the error and the auto attendant saying your call cannot be...

Thanks so much for your help! this is frustrating.

That means your calling search space you are assigning to that forward destination is not allowed to dial externally. Try a different one.

Are you putting a 9 or whatever your access code is in front of the 800 number you are forwarding to?

Thanks for your help. Yes you were correct. I a few different CCS configurations. I tried others and they worked. Thanks for your help.
