I've got what I think is a rather trivial problem but I'm new to CallManager and there are a fair amount of knowledgable people here, so here goes:

We're using CallManager 3.3 with a fair amount of 7940s and a couple of 7960s. One of those 7960s has three external lines pointing at it (through, I believe a 1760).

If the user is engaged on a call on one of those lines I'd like the call to be forwarded to another phone in the same office with no input from the operator at all.

I believe I can achieve something similar to this in the "Call Forward and Pickup Settings" section of CallManager with "Forward Busy" but I believe that only applies to a particular line, not the whole phone.

Is there an option that says "If one of the lines on a phone is busy automatically divert the call elsewhere"?

This really depends on how you setup the "3 lines". If they are DID numbers and you are pointing them to the 1 extension on the Cisco phone, then Call Forward Busy applies to the phone regardless of which line you are calling.

If there are 3 seperate lines on the phone and all 3 lines have a unique DID, then typically call forward will still apply to the phone, assuming that those extensions only exist on that phone. If that is the case, change the busy trigger for the line to 1 and set the call forward busy extension. I run ccm 4.1 so the verbage might be a bit different on your 3.3 system.

Thanks.

I've implemented the call forward on busy feature and that seems to work ok. We're upgrading to ccm4 as soon as the disks arrive and I'd like to take that opportunity to redesign the system again from the bottom up, especially in light of the availability of broadcast hunt groups - something that will prove extremely useful.

The broadcast hunt groups are OK. They work as described and we have had little problems with them. The other hunt groups though, they need some improvement and I am certain we will see it in a later release.
