Hello everybody!!!

How is all? Hope everyone is fine.

I've been asked to check a particular users extension to find out whether it is possible for calls to be forwarded to other numbers if he doesn't pick up his phone. He also mentioned that his voicemail message changed, which lead me to think that he doesn't mean "fowarding calls to other numbers when not picked up" but some sort of group pickup.

I've configured the user to be in the same group pickup as his colleagues.

I'm 99.99% sure that you can't have both a)calls going to voicemail when not answered and b)calls being forwarded to other extensions

Which option will I need to set so that calls are either forwarded to voicemail or another extension? is it CFW or FDN?

Is there a list of the acronyms and their meanings anywhere?

Thanks in advance!!

Nilesh

right now all unanswered calls and busy conditions go to 4444 that is the mail access dn.. key 5 is set to cfw to 4517 if that is activated on the phone....

i would set HUNT and EHT to 4444 (hunt and EHT are for a busy condition)these calls will go to mail
EFD and FDN to another phone ( EFD & FDN are for calls that are unanswered )cfw these calls to colleagues

Thanks Gibblett - What do the acronyms stand for? EFD, EHT and FDN?

FDN--forward no answer
EFD--external forward no answer
EHT---external hunt

since the cls (class of service) is CFTA--call forward by type allowed--the EFD and EHT prompts are added.

Can I put multiple entries into the FDN and EFD fields?
