Hey guys,

I have this issue with this customer with IPO 500 R6 wherein they have activated the call forwarding features from their Telephone provider, so when someone calls the trunk, it will not pass through the IP office and the call will be immediately forwarded to the forwarded number. By making some shortcodes, I was able to do it however, it seems like you have to do it four times before the ip office sends a request. Could it be because they have 4 analog trunks and the request can only be permitted through the main trunk line?

note: this is different from unconditional forwarding

Yes, you need that trunk in its own line group, then you can set it easily. You then need to put in an ARS form that is fallback to the other lines so it still gets used :)

thank you for your response,I believe I already made it in ARS, Ive attached an image on how my settings looks like.. *21*N# is the required code for forwarding by the provider..

Im just confused how it can be fallback of other lines, are there any other things missing in my config?

I think he means, put the line with provider fwd in an outgoing group of its own and create shortcode to access it only. Then set up the ARS tables to reflect the new line group.
For example: line 1 outgoing group 5; shortcode-8N, dial 3k1, N, grp 5; copy ARS table 50, change name to L-1, all group 5; make ARS 51 fallback of ARS 50, with 0 delay time.

You could also put that one line onto the main phone where they are forwarding (as a line appearance) and then you would just go off-hook on that line and dial the code.
