Hello everyone

I am setting up emergency ext for after hours that will forward to whoever is on call. The problem is that one of the potential on call people needs his cell phone to ring and home phone to ring. I am not sure how to set this up. I have a CM 3.1 if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Do you have EC500 licenses? If so simply create an entry for it and have the user enable EC500.

If you don't have EC500 then I'd check your VM system. What type of VM do you have?

Thanks for the reply Randy. My EC500 license are used up, but I found I can setup for free Google voice phone numbers. With Google voice you can make it so that any number of devices you want will ring, text and email you. So I have the emergency line forwarded to the Google number and my on call staff can log into the Google and make the appropiate changes as to who is or not on call. If you havnt checked out Google voice I highly recomend that you do

Ok .. you can do this without using EC500. I have done this so I know it works. It's a bit cumbersome but if you're out of EC500 licenses this will do the trick.

Setup both number (Home/Cell) as remote coverage points.

Build a cover path for both.

The build two virtual stations with thos coverage paths.

Then build a third cov path that uses a cover answer group.

In that cover answer group put the two virtual numbers.

Then add a third virtual that uses the third cover path.

Call hits Virtual C (Cover Path C, Call covers to cover answer group x.

Cover Answer group X rings virtual A & B. Each respective virtual covers to remote coverage points ringing both the home and cell numbers.
