Call forwarding to extension

I have a question regarding call forwarding. When a user leaves our company we would like the call to be forwarded to someone covering the calls. We would like the call to go to the covering extension then the covering extension voicemail. We have been able to forward calls to a new extension ext. 2001 but the original voicemail ext. 2000 is used. If we remove the coverage to voicemail for the station ext. 2000 the call will forward to ext. 2001 but continue to ring and not cover. How can we get ext. 2000 to forward to ext. 2001 with ext. 2001 voicemail.
 
Option 1: instead of call forwarding, make a two-point coverage path. Point 1 - call forward destination. Point 2 - VDN of new vector:

wait 0 seconds hearing silence
messaging skill 99 for extension 1234
stop

Option 2: Use call forwarding as normal. Put the call-forwarded extension in the "secondary extension" field of the answering extension.

If you are using Audix for voicemail, you can "change auto-attend-routing routing-table. This will cause calls to one number to be routed to another voicemail.
