Howdy!
Running CM 5.2

What would cause telephone numbers from a different phone system being unable to call forward to known working telephone numbers on our Avaya system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can you do a list trace station and see what happens? Or list the off-pbx station mapping to see if the external number is connected to a phone somehow.

Thanks @G van Hamburg
No.
The number being forwarded to our Avaya stations is coming from a different carrier.
On their end, they see everything is fine, but then you dial the number and it just says it can't be completed at this time.

When I do a list-trace on that receiving extension, no information is shown because the call is never completing or getting to its destination.

Thinking there is something in the Signaling Group that needs to change.
Service protocol maybe?

When your trunk is configured as per provider documentation (if any) and also in service + you can make and receive calls I’d see your signaling group can’t be the issue. Is the trunk a in/out or only out going trunk? Can you do list trace trunk?

Yes,
I can trace the trunk.
Calls are working and everything is operating normally.

Trunk is set up Two way,
Protocol A,
Duplex FULL

Ok, but if you trace the trunk nothing shows? Are you familar with making a MST trace? Perhaps that showa something. If not than your ISP ahs een issue.

correct,
Nothing shows during the trunk trace.
So when i dial the carriers's number (which is coming from a verizon voip system) it does not forward to our avaya system and does not hit the trunk.

When you dial it, it automatically is given a "this call can not be completed at this time" message.

Hmm, Ok, I think it’s a problem outside your Avaya system!

Me too,
But they always want to point the finger away from themselves, haha.

Any thoughts on what they could look at?

From carrier to carrier, I suspect it’s just a plain old routing issue.
