Hi all,

Weird. We press *2 (like everyone else) to call forward to another extension or off site. Suddenly doesnt work. No changes to COS or FAQ. Tested on many phones same problem. Any ideas?

Thanks

heathersue I would check the FAC pages (disp fea) and make sure the activation/deactivation codes haven't changed. Also check the COS form and make sure that the COS for call-forwarding off net hasn't changed.

Hi mikeydidit,

thanks for your response. I checked the COS - no call forwarding off net is ever restricetd on any COS and the FAQs are the same as they always were. We cant forward desk to desk either. I'm Stumped...

do 'list history'

P.S. For the best response to a question, please read FAQ222-2244. Also give the type & version of your voice mail & pbx system & preview your post to make sure it is complete & understandable. Be aware that if u don't answer a question, I usually will not continue to help u. Please leave a post on how u fixed the problem too.

Hi Heathersue,

Did you ever come up with a solution?

I have the exact same problem. Call forwarding stopped working approx 5 days ago.

I have a G3csiV7

I've checked that no COS or COR changes have been done via list history.

I've verified FAC to be *2 for All Call forwading and #2 deactivate

When trying to intiate a call forward internally, I enter *2(ext) and I just get dial tone, not the normal zip tone.

I have Send All Calls setup for *3 and it is working???

Any help greatly appreciated

If you are call forwarding, you need to enter the FAC, then the extension that you will be forwarding the calls from, then the extension you are forwarding the calls to.

Example: I want to forward extension 1234 to extension 6789. So I would use *2 (dial tone) 1234 (dial tone) 6789 (confirmation tone).

SF0751 is correct. But that is if you have console permissions. If you do not then you can only forward the extension you are calling from. Using her example without console permssions.

I want to forward x1234 to 6789.

From x 1234 dial *2 (dial tone) 6789 (conf tone).

When trying to forward one internal extension to another, it is not working.

in the example from x1234 to x6789

I'm dialing *2 from x1234 I get dial tone, I enter 6789 and I get dial tone again. Not the confirmation tone.

Any ideas? This was working just a few days ago. I've checked the COS and nothing has changed. I've verified the FAC for All forwarding is *2

As someone said, you must have console permssion set to n if you want to do the call forwarding without putting source ext number:

example 1234 > 6789

Console permission set to n:
*2 6789

Console permission set to y:
*2 1234 # 6789#

just be aware of # in the second examples, i don't have a time to test it.

Just a stab in the dark but has anyone changed your dial plan? Should be fac in * and in the 2 column.

It really sounds like console permissions were turned on, since you are getting the 2nd dial tone instead of the confirmation tone. What happens when you try the sequence *2 1234 6789 ?

Problem solved...

You guys were correct. I need to remove fingers from one of my associates who gave console permissions to the wrong COS.

Thanks for the help!!!
