Hi,

I am trying to set up call forwarding on a 3300 ICP, version 8.0.5.12.

I cannot seem to call forward to external locations even though i have checked the COS and COR and seem to have ticked all the right boxes!!

Can anybody point me in the right direction.

Cheers

You need to check both the Trunk and the Station for COS and COR. the most common error is only checking the station.

The trunk is coming in and being forwarded externally. The trunk requires external dialing and trunk to trunk connections.

Testing

If it is still failing after checking these, set a station to the same COS and COR as your trunk and try calling the forwarded station from there. How it fails and the displayed message will point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the advice KwbMitel,
I have changed my station so that the COS (96) and COR (6)are the same as my Trunk group but am still getting number unavailable when i put the forward on (i do not get number unavailable when the forward is turned off it rings through fine!)
From my station i can ring the number i am trying to forward to fine!!

Any ideas?

Try setting up a speedcall and have overrides toll control set to yes, then configure the forward to route to the speedcall.

It does look like your problem is with the COS - Have you enabled call forward within the COS

Hi andy4uk,

I have setup a speedcall and seet overrides toll to yes but i am still receiving the same error.

Within COS i have enabled the following:

Call Forwarding Accept = yes
Call Forwarding (external destination) = yes
Call Forwarding (internal destination) = yes
Public Network To Public Networkconnection allowed = yes

These options are set on both the station COS and the trunk COS.

Do i need to set any other options to yes?

wontwork,
This may be a dumb question. When programming the number in the phone, are you entering the digit to access an outside line?

Hi NISD3300,

Yes i am dialing the 9 to access an outside line.

I am pretty sure it is a COR problem, as i can forward the call to a local number number without dialing the area code and it works.
It seems to be getting stuck when i enter a mobile number or a national number.

My COR is set up as follows:

number = 6
Classes of restriction for group = 1-5,7-93

Does this look right?

Since call forwarding is a DPNSS feature the option "Public Network Access via DPNSS" will need to be enabled in the users COS.

^^^^^and to trunk COS^^^^

Is it only trunks calls that fail to forward?

What happens when the user is called from another normal station?

Hi Guys,

Figured this one out yesterday.
In the ARS form when dialing out the system was waiting for 12 digits after the initial 907 and therefore wad timing out, I lowered the amount of digits to 9 and this worked fine.

Thanks for your help on this one guys.
