Hi,
We have a customer who wants to call forward to a mobile, and be able to see the original incoming CLI. I have always been told in the past that this isnt possible, but I have been researching it and have found two possible solutions.
One seems to be "Partial Rerouting", which is turned on in the PRI settings in Manager; according to thread940-1600332 in the UK this is know as Customer Controlled Call Forwarding - does anybody know if this is correct? According to BT Openreach you have the choice of Call Forwarding Unconditional, Call Forwarding on No Reply, and Call Forwarding on Busy - so would this be set up at the exchange or on the system? Surely if it simply followed the call forwarding on the system, whether it be Unconditional, Busy or N/A, the exchange would not need to know about it until the system actually forwarded the call, therefore these options would be irrelevant? Is the forward number set up on the system? Is it done on an entire ISDN or per DDI basis? Or in other words, if I forward my phone to my mobile, is anybody else affected?
The other option seems to be CLI Type 4 used with Mobile Twinning, and the option selected under System --> Mobility to support this - unfortunately our call provider has never heard of "CLI Type 4"; might it be called anything else (in the UK)? Can this work with call forwarding (using an ss/ssi short code maybe)?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you,
Joe Newton
