I have a request from the site president and I need clarification on where the option is located so I can make changes to it. The president's secretary receives a call from outside line while away from her desk, message service picks up, the caller has learned that if they press 0 they are automatically forwarded to the Presidents phone.

My problem is he wants to prevent them pressing 0 to reach him. However, I can't seem to find that option on the TN or within the user administration section on my Meridian Mail.

I would greatly appreciate someone providing me the correct terminology and where to look for this option. I will be glad to search other threads for answers once I know what option or feature I am actually trying to change.

thanks very much to all

More detail of scenario --- Secretary and president both have 2616 sets.

This "0" option you are talking about will be in the voice mail system, not in the PBX.

Look at her mailbox closely and you will see something like Revert DN

I have looked at the meridian mail but nothing is like that in the revert dn section. She has two other extensions listed but neither correspond with the site president. I am going back and checking again right now.

thanks

I went back and reviewed the mer mail and found that we have ACDN being used to revert.

1. How do I review ACDN options?
2. I know I can remove the revert dn from the mer mail and eliminate this from being a problem, but
3. Is there a setting that I can change to make this function not work without removing the revert. Or change the 0 button to another # button.

Thanks

I'm not exactly sure what you are saying but if the Revert DN is say 1234, then in ld 23 prt acd 1234 and post it back here. Still not sure how the "0" is getting to the boss if he is not part of the acd que. It could be a dummy que with a ncfw to the boss I guess but that doesn't make much sense.

I went back in a looked and I figured out that we are using ACD in the 5000 range. The revert dn for the boss was 5029. I removed that and all forwarding by pressing 0 has been stopped.

I was wondering if there is anything in the ACD where you can change the number key from 0 to something else for instance 5. That way the people that need to know can be told and still have this as an option. Just wondering if it is possible.
