Call Forwarding & Group Pick

Hey guys quick question.

Does anyone know why the following extension does not allow group pickup or call forwarding?

that may be a stretch, are the other stations in the same pick-up group? pua or gpua, i would kill cfta, with all calls forwarded and hunted to the same dn, that may be causing a problem. (don't see how) is that the only ext with dn 284? if not marp may not be turned on in your switch. that would explain the no call forward, not the pickup problem

Yeah all the phones are in the same rnpg.

All other phones in the company are able to forward calls fine its just this extension.

This is the only extension with dn 284.

then marp wouldn't seem to be a problem. i would try hard forward from the frame, doesn't make sense that just the one phone is bad. i might out that one and put it back in.

re-creating an extension is somthing that I have never done. Do you have a any references to a step by step guide for beginners.

Could be a faulty unit on the card... Out it and re-build the TN,

Put CLS PUA XHA, PUA is Pickup allowed and XHA is exclusive hold. I'm pretty sure you need that for CFW to work.

i don't use either of those here to add cfw to a set. analog sets need cls fna and ftr fdn if you want a fixed forward no answer. i have scripts that add mail to a 500, they don't include those prompts

I would say that the reason for the call forwarding failing is that the HUNT, FTR FDN, FTR EFD and FTR EHT are all configured to forward to 284. The extension number is 284. This will just give busy - you need to change these prompts so that it forwards to the required forwarding number?? what ever that is?? The group pickup programming looks good but you need to make sure that the extension is in the required group pickup. Currently in group 70.

without mcra that would make sense, mcra would allow hunt to the same dn, not forward.. we all looked at the class marks and ignored the problem. could be it's been a while since i made that mistake

Cheers guys, thanks for the responses. You will never belive what the problem is. The physical extension is set to pulse dial not tone dial. Dooooh. So calls can now be diverted and the pickup group is working fine. The only thing it does not do is transfer active calls to another extension.Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

Do a trace in LD 80 and see what is stopping it? Are you getting an error, ie sch?
