I'm trying to set up and enable call forwarding from the switch console. The reason I want to understand how to do it from the switch, and actually enable it, is moreso for my own curiousity, but ideally I also want to be able to enable forwarding on an extension, and then remove it from a TN and have it stick.

My thoughts were to do the following.
ld 20
prt tnb
25 14
...
...
key 03 cfw 4

so i then..
ld 20
req: chg
type: 2008
exch: yes
tn: 25 14
item: key 03 cfw 4 8701(extension i wanted to fwd to)
item: [hit enter button]

which works... and assigns 8701 to key 3 as the number to use... but how do I actually turn on CFW from the command line? Any idea?

Sounds like the remote call forward feature would be easier. You then can do it from any phone on the switch. One warning, any call forwards can get knocked off if the switch reinitialises.

Is there any way to forward a DID when the set has been unplugged? We are moving (from one site to another up the street and from a MICS to a BCM) and the DID's have not been ported. We are looking to setup call forwading on the system with no handset plugged in. Is that possible?

Thank you for any help

David
