Working on a Nortel Mics 6.0 .Is it possible to call forward d.i.d.s externally without having to have a phone or a ata programmed with the d.i.d.s, Tried a few different things in programming but have not found a solution. Customer is shutting down a part of the plant and wants to be able to call forward the d.i.d.s to cell phones without having the sets working.

I forgot to mention these are analogue d.i.d.s not digital.

you need something to hang the forward onto. you can send the DID into a hunt group that sends the call into a voicemailbox that has a dial 7 escape outside to the cell phone.

you can also send the DID call to a station and have the station forward to the outside number.

again you can send the did call to a station and have the station redirect the target line to the outside number.

all three of these need you to allocate some resourse to let you make this function.

If you program redirection on a set, then unplug the set, the redirect will remain in place... Make sure you keep good records if you do this.
