Happy Holidays everyone!

OK, I am trying to set up a call forwarding for outside calls to forward to a cell phone from two different extensions. I can't seem to get it to work on either.

It's a Partner ACS 8.0. The extension has voice mail via a Partner voice messaging PC card. The AA is answering and distributing the calls.

(I do not have a T-1 module, but I have gotten this to work in the past without one on another customer of mine's Partner 6.0 system.)
I'm thinking the issue may be with the line coverage extension setting (#208), but I am uncertain. Hence, here I am.

I have done the following:

1. Created a speed dial number for the cell phone number, in this case it's 90.

2. I have enabled remote call forwarding on the extension (#322), in this case ext. 11

3. I have tried assigning a line to the extension (#208) several times, I even assigned every line one at a time to it without it working. I'm obviously doing something wrong.

4. Created a button on the phone set as F-11., dialed the extension number, *, then the speed dial number. The button looks to have been programmed correctly.

5. When I call in to test it, it just rings and finally goes to voice mail.

Any thoughts, reflections, ideas?

Thanks!

The button is Feature 11 - 11 - 90 (Forward Ext. 11 to Speed Dial 90)

At this point, if Ext. 11 has outside lines assigned to it, and its auto line select gives you an outside line when you lift its handset, it should work.

Press the Forward button, it goes green, and the display says Forward 11 90. Go to another extension in the system, press Intercom and dial 11, you should hear a beep at Ext. 11, see a line go red (green on 11), and the call should go to the outside number.

If that works, call from your cell phone, answer the call on an extension other than 11, then press Transfer, dial 11, and hang up the handset, The call should transfer to the outside number.

No need to do the #208, unless you want ALL incoming calls to forward to the outside number. You probably want #208 blank, the lines assigned to #206-7 for the auto attendant to answer, and have the caller transfer to 11, and thus the outside number.

Hey Tommy, Thanks for getting back to me on this.

When I press the that I programmed it goes green and displays "11 *90". Should it not have a "*" in it?

Correct, no * in the number. The * is needed for the "Cell Phone Connect" feature, which requires a T1 module to work.

That's got to be it. I'll be at that location tomorrow and remove the "*".

I'll let you know how it goes!

Tommy,

I went to the customer location today to remove the "*" from the programing. As I anticipated, the first phone station, (11), worked immediately. However, (12) did not. They are programmed as I have stated in the first submission.

I reprogrammed everything, both stations 11 & 12, however, station (11) works and (12) does not forward. I thought multiple could phones be programmed this way. I must be missing something.

What do you think?

Thanks!

Try a copy of 11 to 12 - #399-11-12. This will copy over the lines, ringing, restrictions, permissions.

Then check the number in the speed dial, and the programming of the forward button.
