Hi,
Looking for some help. When calling a ddi we have a speedcall going to a multi call(100) which is diverted to a ring group . When the ext(member of ring group) receives a call the display shows the telephone number then name FROM 100 Always

Example 1111111 Mitel FROM 100 ALWAYS

I know this is to be expected, I want to remove the call forwarding message. I thought there was a class of service to remove this message so it wouldn't show FROM 100 ALWAYS but I can't find it. Any ideas?

Lets start with why are you forwarding 100 to a ring group instead of pointing the speedcall at the RG directly?

**********************************************
What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

I suspect this is so 'call forward - follow me' type codes can be used for diversions (which cannot be applied to ring groups I believe?)

eg during the day, calls would go to a multicall
but this causes a ring in the ear, on Mitel cordless headsets on 5330s/5340s every time a call comes in (even if you are already on a call, with the key set to 'ring once'. If set to 'no ring' you get no audible indication of a call, even if you are not on a call at the time)

using a ring group (instead of a multicall) I believe avoids the ringing in the ear (when you are already on a phone)

but loses the ability to divert at night (to an on-call mobile number)

the above:
speed call pointing to multicall
during the day multicall diverted to a ring group
at night multicall diverted to a mobile/cell number

works

but you lose space on the phone display, to see who is calling (name and number), during the day
due to the 'FROM 100 ALWAYS' appearing

is there a way to suppress that

or a better way to work around the above 'ringing in cordless headset' issue?

@ dasdam 3300 - Does the call go to VM and if it does, does it just take a message or are you allowing other dialing options (AA)

@ Fissure - do I assume correctly that you do not want to use overflow during the day?

@ kwbMitel - The calls do not use voicemail or use AA. The reason why 100 is forwarded to the ring group is to allow an out of hours divert. Currently the ring group does not use an overflow point.
